Graco is a popular brand for car seat and strollers and with their SnugRide line, they have a lot of improvements that will make your life easier. They’ve made installation easier. Added a safety feature call SafetyCore and other new features. We are excited to test the Graco SnugRide SnugFit 35 DLX since we have been leaning in for Graco seats and strollers for a long time. How We Picked and Tested Graco SnugRide SnugFit 35
For new parents, it’s always the question “what is the best car seat?”. We installed Graco DLX in our sedan and had a car ride with our two-month-old baby to see how well it performs.
Installation. Installing Graco DLX is pretty straightforward and easy. The one thing that got us worried is how we need to wiggle and shake the car seat before removing it from the base. Although this was not always the case, it happened too often that I can’t oversee it.
Fit. A body and head pillow comes with the DLX model. Keep in mind that the body pillow is optional, and you can remove this one’s your baby reaches 12 lbs or if you find it that your child is uncomfortable with the fit. For the head pillow, you can use it as long as it’s threaded through the harness. You can remove this as well if you think that the head pillow is pushing your baby’s head forward.
Maintenance. The cover is removable and machine washable which is great specially for pukes and poos.
Compatibility. Graco SnugRide SnugFit 35 DLX is compatible with Graco ClickConnect stroller or base. However, it’t not compatible with other brands of stroller or base. This is due to the particular ClickConnect Technology which comes in Graco car seat and base.
What We Don’t Like About Graco SnugRide SnugFit 35
Installation was easy, but it bothered us that it was so hard to release the car seat from the base. We needed to shake it a few times, which we know can compromise safety. The fabric also makes our two-month-old very sweaty no matter how cold we keep the car and even in a well-ventilated room, we find that our baby is wet at the back and head. This might be a small issue but if your baby has sensitive skin, this can cause a red ugly rash.
Should You Buy This Car Seat?
The Graco DLX is definitely an upgrade from Graco 35 Elite, but it does not mean that it has better features compared to other car seats in the market in the same competition. We would recommend other brands over Graco DLX and Graco 35 anytime of the day.
What Other Infant Car Seat Should You Consider?
Chicco Keyfit 35 is in the same price range with better features. We recommend checking this car seat if you are looking for a seat that performs well and is made with high-quality materials and is on a reasonable price range.

Graco is one of the leading brands for car seats and strollers. They have a wide range of car seat you can choose from. Graco SnugRide SnugFit 35 DLX is one of them that provides safety and comfort for your baby at a reasonable price. But in my opinion as a parent, I think we might need to look and check out other model from this brand and line. This model offers safety, comfort and convenience, but I know a lot of car seats that offers the same for less.
