How We tested
We installed Graco SlimFit 3 in a medium-sized sedan. We found that SlimFit 3 is easy to install even with the car seat belt only. It’s pretty slim and compact that we were able to install another car seat in our back seat. The head support makes our little one extra comfy during the drive. Even cleaning it is easy and convenient. One vital issue we have is that the straps are weird. We noticed that after using it, our baby had red marks over where the straps were positioned. Although this can be easily resolved by having a strap cover, we think it’s still worth mentioning.
What We Like About It
Graco SlimFit 3 can accommodate your child from 5lbs to 100lbs. This is literally a seat your child will use until they grow old enough to use your car’s seat belt. It has cup holders that you surely benefit you and your child once they are big enough to use it, but while they’re not using it yet, you can rotate it to have more space.
No rethreading is necessary as your child grows, a headrest for support and harness that will keep them safe are some of the safety features we enjoyed with SlimFit 3.
Its fabric is removable and machine washable for easy care and maintenance which we really love and is very important specially for toddlers.
What We Don’t Like About It
Even though SlimFit 3 is marketed as compact and slim, this car seat weighs 20lbs which is understandable since you can use it from newborn until your child is ready to use car seat belts. However, if you plan on using SlimFit 3 on your travels, we do not recommend bringing it.
